The Manger...

This is something I've seen done a lot and we finally jumped on the band wagon. We made our own little manger out of popsicle sticks and cut up some rafia for hay. Our family home evening then was about ways that we can make ourselves ready for Jesus' birth by having the spirit of Christ in our hearts, by serving each other. The kids have had a lot of fun adding to the pile to make a soft bed for baby Jesus. Ryan especially will just come up to me and say, "Mom, you're the cutest mom...can I put a hay in the manger?" I've had to start telling him that he needs to do stuff, not just say stuff. But it sure is cute!
